1. Introduction:

1.1 This Returns Policy applies to Registered Users who have purchased Goods through the M Electrical (Pty) Ltd Website or Physical Stores and who have active online store accounts with M Electrical Wholesalers.

1.2 M Electrical Wholesalers is committed to customer satisfaction and ensuring that you are happy with your purchase. We understand that there may be instances where you need to return a product, and we have outlined the process below.

2. Right to Return Goods in terms of ECTA:

2.1 In accordance with the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act (ECTA), you have the right to cancel any electronic transaction for the supply of Goods within seven days after the date of receipt of the Goods and obtain a full refund within 30 days of cancellation.

2.2 If the Goods have already been delivered to you, you will be responsible for the direct cost of returning the goods to us, including a handling fee of up to 10%.

2.3 To initiate a refund, you must provide M Electrical Wholesalers with written notice of cancellation through the Returns page on our website within 7 days of receiving the Goods. You must also return the Goods to us at your own cost, ensuring they are new, unused, in their original packaging, undamaged, and in a saleable condition.

2.4 M Electrical Wholesalers reserves the right to refuse the return of Goods if the above conditions are not met by the User.

3. Right to Return Goods in terms of the CPA:

3.1 In accordance with the Consumer Protection Act (CPA), all Goods sold to Consumers come with a 6-month warranty against defects.

3.2 If Goods sold to Users (who are “Consumers” in terms of the CPA) are found to be defective within 6 months from the date of delivery, the User is entitled to return the Goods to M Electrical Wholesalers. The User may request repair, replacement, or a refund, provided the following conditions are met:

– The User informs M Electrical Wholesalers of the defect through the Returns page on our website within 6 months of delivery.
– The User returns the Goods, at their own expense, within the warranty period, along with all accessories and parts originally sold with the item.

– M Electrical Wholesalers is given the opportunity to inspect and validate the return. If the Goods are determined to be defective, M Electrical Wholesalers will refund the delivery charges incurred for the return of the Goods.
– If the returned Goods are found not to be defective, a handling fee will be charged by M Electrical Wholesalers. The User will have the opportunity to choose how the Goods should be returned to them. Failure to respond within the specified timeframe will result in the disposal of the Goods without issuing a credit.

3.3 Please note that certain types of damages or defects are not considered as defects under the CPA, such as faults resulting from normal wear and tear, user abuse, or unauthorized alterations.

3.4 In the case of Goods with extended supplier warranties, the User must notify M Electrical Wholesalers of the defect within the extended supplier warranty period after delivery. M Electrical Wholesalers will facilitate the return to the supplier at no charge.

4. Vouchers & Coupons:

4.1 If you used a Coupon to purchase Goods that you return for a refund, we will provide you with a replacement Coupon and credit your account for the portion of the purchase price paid using another payment method.

4.2 However, if you used a Voucher to purchase Goods that you return for a refund, we cannot refund you in cash for the portion paid using the Voucher. Instead, we will credit your account.

5. Incorrect Goods Delivered:

5.1 It is the responsibility of the User to ensure that the Goods ordered are appropriate for their intended use.

5.2 If the User receives incorrect Goods (not ordered by the User), they must immediately notify M Electrical.

7.2. Returns Process:

2.1 All returns must be authorized by M Electrical Wholesalers within 14 days of the purchase date.

2.2 To initiate a return, Registered Users must contact our customer service team via returns@melectrical.co.za. Our knowledgeable representatives will guide you through the process and provide you with a credit note number if the return is deemed eligible.

2.3 The Goods being returned must be in their original packaging, unopened, and in unused condition. Any damaged or altered Goods may not be eligible for return.

2.4 The Registered User must package the Goods securely and clearly mark the credit note number on the exterior of the package before sending it back to M Electrical Wholesalers.

2.5 Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the Registered User unless otherwise agreed upon with M Electrical Wholesalers in certain circumstances.

3. Eligibility for Return:

3.1 The following conditions must be met for Goods to be eligible for return:

3.1.1 The Goods were purchased directly from M Electrical Wholesalers and not from a third-party vendor.

3.1.2 The Goods are in their original packaging, unopened, and in unused condition.

3.1.3 The return request is made within 14 days of the purchase date.

3.1.4. No returns and no refunds will be considered for any cable which has been cut to the Customer’s specifications.

4. Refunds and Exchanges:

4.1 Once the returned Goods are received and inspected by M Electrical Wholesalers, we will notify the registered User of the approval or rejection of the return.

4.2 If the return is approved, a refund or exchange will be processed according to the Registered User’s preference and as per the original payment method.

4.3 Refunds will be processed within a reasonable time period, typically within 7 business days.

4.4 If an exchange is requested, M Electrical Wholesalers will arrange for the replacement Goods to be shipped to the Registered User at their expense, subject to availability.

5. Exceptions:

5.1 The following Goods are not eligible for return:

5.1.1 Goods that have been installed, used, or are no longer in their original condition.

5.1.2 Goods that are specifically ordered, customized, or made-to-order.

5.1.3 Goods that are identified as non-returnable or clearance items at the time of purchase.
